• This season keeps on giving.  We are grooming out this latest dump with the Pisten Bully and the results should be sumptuous.  It will take some time, however, so keep the salivating under control. Patience is a virtue.

• We are holding off regrooming until after tonight's expected snowfall. That should freshen up the trails for tomorrow.  In the meantime, without the sun to soften the surface skiing will be a little peppy today.

• We're holding off grooming until tomorrow's (hopefully) snow event.  In the meantime, the freeze thaw cycle is in charge.  Fast in the morning and the shade, and slower in the sunny afternoon.  Adjust accordingly.

• Hope the Olympics are encouraging personal fetes of endurance and style.  Our snow conditions look as good (or better) than those in Italy.  Pile up some K's!

• A perfect "weather breeder" day to chalk up some K's.  Word on the street is that there's more snow tonight. Any cups out there are running over.

• The base has gotten quite firm with the very cold conditions.  We'll be grooming and retracking today which will refresh the surface. The snow from two weeks ago keeps on giving, but fresh powder would be welcome.

• Wind chill makes today a dubious day to enjoy the trails.  Live vicariously through a biathlon on TV direct from Italy.

• We're putting the Pisten Bully on the trails in order to reconstitute the base.  It will fluff up and even out the surface. There's not a single thing not to like about that state of affairs.
